Why is it important for there to be women in Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) jobs at NASA?

Bringing NASA’s cutting-edge science and engineering to American students and the public is critical for the Agency’s long-term fiscal health. Engaging students at an early age and fostering that interest throughout school, provides active learning opportunities for all. In NASA of the 21st century, women provide a critical role across the agency. Girls are more interested in pursuing STEM careers more than ever. Having strong female role models fosters an environment where young women feel they can succeed in technology-based careers.
