NASA’s first X-38 Advanced Technology Demonstrator for the proposed Crew Return Vehicle arrived at NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, CA, in June 1997. The vehicle arrived aboard a USAF C-17 transport aircraft from NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
