NASA Langley a Popular Presence at NAS Oceana Air Show

Thousands of attendees at NAS Oceana's Air Show learned more about NASA's Langley Research Center and our centennial events.
Langley is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and invited onlookers to see what the facility has contributed in aeronautics, science and space

Planes of all shapes and speeds populated the air above Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia, for the military installation’s yearly air show. NASA’s Langley Research Center also had a presence at the event, and the Hampton, Virginia, facility was a sight sought out by thousands of attendees Sept. 15-17. Langley is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and invited onlookers to see what the facility has contributed in aeronautics, science and space – and beyond. People of all ages, including Navy personnel and buses full of students from area schools, toured the center’s Centennial Experience Trailer, which features exhibits of Langley’s past, present and future.
