This week in 1968, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Director Wernher von Braun, left, and Alabama A&M University President Richard Morrison signed a cooperative agreement. Marshall has a long-held a commitment to ensure that historically black colleges and universities, like Alabama A&M, play an active role in NASA’s research programs and overall mission. The NASA History Program documents and preserves NASA’s remarkable history through a variety of products — photos, press kits, press releases, mission transcripts and administrators’ speeches.
