On Martian day, or Sol, 2316, the Curiosity Mars Rover traveled over a new kind of terrain on the Red Planet. This time the rover made its way over the clay of an area nicknamed Glen Torridon, named for an area of Scotland known for its amazing vistas.
Curiosity took this image with its Mast Camera (Mastcam) on Feb. 10, 2019, as it was exploring a region of Mount Sharp that has lots of clay minerals.
