At NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, guests and news media gather to watch the liftoff of the agency’s Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer, or OSIRIS-REx spacecraft. Liftoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 41. OSIRIS-REx will be boosted by a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket with a single-engine Centaur upper stage.
