NASA’s Global Hawk # 871 cruises over low cloud layers during its first checkout flight since being transferred to NASA in late 2007. The aircraft, the first Global Hawk built in the original Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration program, joins NASA’s other Global Hawk, # 872, for high-altitude, long-endurance environmental science missions.May 27, 2010
