NASA Astronaut Eric A. Boe
Eric A. Boe was selected as a NASA astronaut in 2000 and served as a pilot on STS-126 and STS-133. He is currently the assistant to the chief for commercial crew in the astronaut office at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
Quick Facts
Boe was commissioned from the Air Force Academy in 1987. He completed Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard Air Force Base (AFB), Texas, in 1988.
Boe retired from the Air Force in February 2012. He has logged more than 6,000 flight hours in more than 50 different aircraft.
From October 2005 to October 2006, Boe served as NASA Director of Operations at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Star City, Russia.
