The 26 meter (85 foot) X-Y antenna became part of the Deep Space Network (DSN) along with its counterparts in Spain and Australia, but did not require relocation. Upgraded with fiber optic cables connecting to the Signal Process Center, Deep Space Station 16 (DSS-16) is currently in an extended downtime configuration.
