Gaseous Fluid Impact for Components (Previously NASA Test 14)

This test provides supplemental information on the reaction sensitivity of components to rapid pressurization heating when pneumatically impacted in a pressurized GOX system. The test can be performed to meet any of the following objectives:

  1. To characterize the reaction sensitivity of a component at a specified pressure.
  2. To determine the pressure threshold for ignition of a component over a range of pressures.
  3. To determine the temperature reaction threshold of a component at a specified pressures.
