Scientists aboard NASA’s DC-8 observe convective clouds over the Caribbean Sea during their June 10 science flight for the Convective Processes Experiment (CPEX). The mission sought to better understand how convective clouds and storm systems form and decay in the Carribean and Gulf sub-tropical regions. Data will be used to help improve weather forecast models.
