Ultrasonic testing is used to locate internal and external product defects and measure wall thickness discontinuities in metal tubing, pipe, and other materials without damaging the item being inspected.

Ultrasonic testing detects flaws deep within the items being inspected by transmitting short, high-frequency sound pulse waves into the inspection item. A defect or anomaly within the material will reflect some of the energy of the sound wave and will be displayed on a screen. Our technicians interpret these results to determine if the inspection item is defective or acceptable according to the test specification and requirements.
