Our personnel continue to research phenomena associated with oxygen research and channel their knowledge into new testing standards.
ASTM International
ASTM International, which sets standards for materials and components testing for use in oxygen systems, has adopted a number of our materials and components test methods. We helped develop ASTM’s training course “Fire Hazards In Oxygen Systems” in order to share what we have learned from over 40 years of testing. Members of our oxygen testing group sit on the ASTM G-04 Committee on Compatibility and Sensitivity of Materials in Oxygen Enriched Atmospheres to assist in the advancement of testing.
International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
ISO sets standards for materials and components testing for use in oxygen systems and spacecraft. Members of our oxygen testing group sit on the ISO/TC 20/SC 14 Space Systems and Operations committee to help further testing in oxygen environments and systems.
