Fumarole
Vapors rise from small cracks in the Earth's crust, called fumaroles, in Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Costa Rica. These fumaroles vent gases from the volcanic system underneath, which passively emits gases like carbon dioxide, which NASA's CRATER project set out to measure.
