NASA B-200 and MASTER Crew

NASA pilots Hernan Posada and Rob Koteskey stand with NASA instrument specialists Nikolas Gibson and Ted Hildum in front of the NASA Armstrong B-200 aircraft during a refueling stop in Hinesville, Georgia, as part of flight operations for the April 2025 FireSense research campaign. The aircraft flew numerous flights over a prescribed burn at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, using instruments called MASTER (MODIS/ASTER Airborne Stimulator) and FireTIRS to collect data on the burn.
