NASA B-200 Tail

Sun peeks from behind the tail of the NASA Armstrong B-200 aircraft, which carried two instruments during the 2025 NASA FireSense research campaign. This portion of the campaign centered around prescribed burn operations at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia. These instruments performing sampling were MASTER (the MODIS/ASTER Airborne Simulator) and a thermal infrared imaging system called FireTIRS.
