South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands

iss070e063904 (Jan. 8, 2024) -- What looks like clouds scattered over terrain is actually the British Overseas Territory, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands (to the right) and a large iceberg (to the left) in the South Atlantic Ocean. The mountainous collection of islands are permanently covered with ice and snow, blending into the clouds that hang low over the vast body of water that surrounds them as the International Space Station orbited 269 miles above.
