NASA has awarded a contract to Lagan Construction LLC of Woodbridge, Virginia, to conduct an airfield repair project at the agency’s Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia.
This is a firm-fixed price contract with a value of $18,716,643.
“The Wallops airfield is a critical facility asset supporting not just NASA’s Airborne Science Program and the Wallops Range but also the Department of Defense, other governmental agencies and the commercial aerospace industry,” said Bill Wrobel, Wallops Flight Facility director. “This contract continues an ongoing major repair effort for the airfield, demonstrating Wallops’ future viability in support of NASA’s and our partner’s aviation and aeronautics operational and research needs.”
The scope of the work is to provide services and materials to repair the Wallops Airfield, including demolition, site work, concrete construction, and asphalt milling and replacement.
