Dec. 5, 2014 –- The Orion crew module floats in in the Pacific Ocean approximately 600 southwest of San Diego. Crews from the Flight USS Anchorage, Recovery teams are preparing to tow the spacecraft into the well deck of the landing platform-dock, or LPD, ship.
