JSC2013-E-087973 (18 Sept. 2013) — Allen Lantz (center), Clear Creek Intermediate student, and his father Gary direct their eyes to video of the Orbital Sciences Corporation Cygnus spacecraft lifting off atop an Antares rocket from Pad-0A of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS), NASA Wallops Flight Facility, Va., at 10:58 a.m. (EDT) on Sept. 18, 2013. The two are seen in a special viewing room overlooking the Johnson Space Center’s Mission Control Center station flight control room known as FCR-1, where they were joined by other students who had experiments aboard the Cygnus, and their families and school representatives.
