McKay Is Losing Hope In Finding Life On Mars

McKay Is Losing Hope In Finding Life On Mars. The National Geographic (6/25, Lemonick, 42.25M) website interviews Christopher McKay of the Ames Research Center about the characteristics for a potentially habitable exoplanet, citing his recent paper on the subject in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. After describing those characteristics, McKay said that his hope is dimming that life will be found on Mars, adding that even if life is found it may be directly related to us. McKay concluded by explaining that he has several more projects involving missions to Europa, Enceladus, Titan, and even Mars, and he loves them all, and I resist saying that one is better than the other.
