Proteus and an F/A-18 Hornet from NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center are seen in flight over Las Cruces, NM. Designed by Scaled Composites, LLC, of Mojave, Calif., Proteus was an “optionally piloted” aircraft ordinarily flown by two pilots in a pressurized cabin.
