Wallops Rocket Academy for Teachers (WRATS) 2024

The Wallops Rocket Academy for Teachers (WRATS) provides high school
educators with a technical flight experience that will reinforce science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts. WRATS provides an authentic, hands-on rocketry experience based on NASA’s sounding rocket engineering and science data collection.

Participants are given the opportunity to attend rocket week the week of June 17-21, 2024 at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Wallops Flight Facility located near Chincoteague, Virginia. Participants will build and launch a variety of model rockets, learn about the dynamics of a launch, and safe flight operations from NASA technical experts. Participants may also have an opportunity to view a sounding rocket launch on Wallops Island
