When the space shuttle launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, it had to do so within a certain time frame called a launch window to dock successfully with the International Space Station. Students use circle properties to predict and monitor when the space shuttle reaches orbit and the positions of both vehicles as they are traveling in circular orbits around Earth.
