Six views of the Martian moon Phobos captured by NASA's Odyssey orbiter as of March 2020. The orbiter's THEMIS camera is used to measure temperature variations that suggest what kind of material the moon is made of.

Colors in this image of the Martian moon Phobos indicate a range of surface temperatures detected by observing the moon on February 15, 2018, with NASA's 2001 Mars Odyssey orbiter.

The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment HiRISE camera on NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter took two images of the larger of Mars two moons, Phobos, within 10 minutes of each other on March 23, 2008. This is the first.
