Ellipsoid Design Parameters

The Ellipsoid is a relatively simple component, having only three defining design parameters: A, B, and C Radii. These radii define the semi-major and semi-minor axes of the ellipsoid in the body X, Y, and Z directions respectively per the ellipsoid standard equation. This component is useful for modeling spheres and oblong geometries which can be used to represent similar shapes or to stand in for mass property analyses.

Ellipsoids are great for modeling pods, tanks, fuselage canopies, or other bodies. The applications are quite varied for such a relatively simple component.
