About
With degrees in physics, astronomy, and Earth sciences, Dr. Carolyn Jordan’s career has spanned a range of disciplines from studying the Earth’s magnetosphere to the atmosphere, with interdisciplinary investigations examining relationships among the coastal atmosphere, ecosystems (aquatic and terrestrial) and human activities. Most recently she has focused on the development of hyperspectral in situ atmospheric aerosol measurement techniques spanning the UV-visible wavelength range that can be used to directly compare aerosol spectral properties to their microphysical and chemical characteristics. Such observations will contribute to interpretation of remotely sensed aerosol spectra.
