Aaron Allcorn

Deputy Element Manager, Space Radiation Element

Aaron Allcorn spent more than 25 years supporting NASA in a variety of roles before taking on his latest title of deputy element manager for the Space Radiation Element in January 2025. In his current position, he plays a lead role managing programs and budgets for space radiation research.  

Allcorn began his NASA career as a space shuttle and International Space Station fluid systems engineer at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The position required him to service and test fluid systems on the orbiter, solid rocket boosters, and payloads in preparation for launch. He then served in project management and group lead roles in the Flight Operations Directorate at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston before joining the agency’s Human Research Program in 2016.

Allcorn earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
