NASA has awarded a contract to Science and Technology Corp. of Hampton, Virginia, for the design and fabrication of research-oriented, one-of–a-kind flight test articles and assemblies including ground support equipment, aircraft, and laboratory, science, research facility and instrumentation requirements on-site at NASA Langley Research Center.
Science and Technology Corp. will support two functional fabrication work areas with research-oriented hardware which includes mechanical fabrication for metallic machining, welding and metal fabrication for research-oriented mechanical hardware, and composite fabrication to fabricate research-oriented composite hardware.
The contract was awarded Dec. 13 and has a maximum potential value of $20 million over a five-year period of performance.
