Glenn Hosts NASA Administrator and Ohio Congressional Delegation Members

Sen. Sherrod Brown and Rep. Marcy Kaptur are expected to accompany NASA Administrator Charles Bolden during his visit to the agency’s Glenn Research Center (GRC) in Cleveland Friday, Jan. 17.  They will view the Center’s latest developments in advanced space propulsion technologies.

Brown and Kaptur will join Bolden and GRC Director Jim Free at 1:25 p.m. EST, as they visit the Electric Propulsion Laboratory to assess progress on solar electric propulsion technologies for NASA’s proposed asteroid initiative. The agency’s asteroid initiative represents an unprecedented technological feat that will lead to new scientific discoveries and technological capabilities that will help protect our home planet and achieve the goal of sending humans to an asteroid by 2025.
