The public and news media are invited to a NASA/PBS SciGirls viewing party on Sunday, April 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Virginia Air & Space Center in Hampton, Virginia.
The viewings in the IMAX Theater will show an upcoming episode of the PBS program “SciGirls,” in which three Virginia Beach students team up with scientists at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton to study clouds. They identify clouds from the ground and compare their data with satellite images, ultimately creating a museum display.
Two viewings will be shown, one at 2 p.m. and the other at 2:30 p.m.
Also for free, visitors can explore STEM, NASA Earth science, and opportunities for students through hands-on activities and free resources and handouts from 1 to 4 p.m. in the IMAX section on the second floor.
