Onboard the Soyuz were Expedition 35 commander Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency, NASA astronaut Tom Marshburn and Russian cosmonaut Roman Romanenko, both Expedition 35 flight engineers. Romanenko served as Soyuz commander.
