Cataloguing an Endangered Coral

An OCEANOS intern dives down to take photos of an endangered coral species Dendrogyra cylindrus, more commonly referred to as Pillar Coral (fuzzy brown section directly under the camera).The coral was found by an OCEANOS instructor, while teaching the students about coral surveying techniques in the waters off of Punta Soldado, Culebra (Puerto Rico).
