SUSAN Electrofan Composite Testing Analysis

Researchers conduct composite material tests to determine the properties of a composite wing skin used on a 25% scale model of NASA’s SUbsonic Single Aft eNgine (SUSAN) Electrofan hybrid electric aircraft concept. These tests will help address new, unique loads on future aircraft wings that involve distributed electric propulsion systems.
