AREAL Testbed Setup

A NASA engineer conducts tests inside the Advanced Reconfigurable Electrified Aircraft Lab (AREAL). This testbed is designed to provide data and recommended test methods for informing design and development of electrified aircraft propulsion standards, systems, and components. AREAL helps researchers meet the objectives of the agency’s Revolutionary Vertical Lift Technology (RVLT) project, which aims to enable vertical lift vehicles and sustainable transportation.
