Star trails appear to rain on the planet’s surface
iss071e256960 (June 30, 2024) --- The International Space Station was orbiting on a northeast trajectory 254 miles above the African nation of Sudan when this long duration photograph was taken of the Middle East region. The night lights of civilization follow the Nile River, the atmospheric glow crowns Earth's horizon, and star trails from the vastness of space appear to rain on the planet's surface.
