GLAST Thunders Aloft
The Delta II rocket carrying NASA's Gamma-Ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) emerges from the smoke generated at liftoff from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Pad 17-B. The rocket lifted off June 11, 2008 at 12:05 p.m. EDT.
