Universe in the Clouds

We’re used to seeing stars, moons, and planets when looking at images from the universe. But how about clouds? The selected image for 1993 shows a vast cloud of gas being heated by the birth of a new star. It was the clearest look NASA had up to that date of such a phenomena, making it our pick of 1993.
