The Pipistrel USA.com team led by Langelaan LLC of State College, Pennsylvania won the first place prize of $1,350,000. Pipistrel’s 3,245-pound aircraft was designed especially for the competition. Pipistrel’s philosophy has always been to set a goal too high and then strive to achieve it.
