It’s flying career over, NASA 911, one of two retired Shuttle Carrier Aircraft that ferried NASA’s space shuttles across the country for three decades, is now on public display adjacent to a retired U.S. Air Force B-52D bomber at the west end of the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark in Palmdale, California. Located on East Rancho Vista Boulevard (Avenue P) at 25th Street East, the airpark is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
