Recognition by Center Director – October 2017

John Ford selected Recognition by Center Director as his most recent NASA@ work award. The Challenge Owner selected John Ford’s solution as a winner for the NASA@ work challenge Incorporating Active Tintable Electronic Coatings into Next Generation Space Suit Visor. John was selected as a winner for the challenge because of the collaborative opportunity he suggested in partnering with a company called Alpha Micron, and the supporting documentation he posted. The Challenge Owner was able to easily learn about the e-Tint technology and use the provided information to get in contact with Alpha Micron to learn more about their company and even ordered one of their products for demonstrating the electrochromic technology.
