NASA Invites Industry to Partner for a Lunar Terrain Vehicle

Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) Capabilities

NASA is preparing to return humans to the moon, to explore the lunar surface on Artemis missions, and learn how to live far away from the Earth, preparing us for human missions to Mars. On the lunar surface, the crew will need a vehicle to increase the area they are able to explore on foot. The Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) is the next lunar vehicle. Like the Apollo Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV), the LTV will transport the crew, lunar samples, and tools around the lunar surface. Unlike the LRV, the LTV will continue science and exploration missions between the crewed missions. NASA is excited to work with industry to develop the next vehicle that will be out of this world. More information on the LTV procurement can be found on the NASA procurement website and SAM.gov for Industry Day and RFI
