As a Falcon 9 rocket stands ready for liftoff at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40, photojournalists set up cameras to record the event. The rocket will launch a Dragon resupply spacecraft to the International Space Station, or ISS. Liftoff is scheduled for July 18, at 12:45 a.m. EDT. On its ninth commercial resupply services mission to the ISS, Dragon will bring up about 5,000 pounds of supplies, such as an International Docking Adapter. It will be one of two connection points for commercial crew spacecraft visiting the orbiting laboratory.
