June 28, 2015 – A television monitor displays a photo of SpaceX President and Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell as she participates via phone in a news conference at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Present at the news conference were Stephanie Schierholz, NASA Office of Communications and Michael Suffredini, manager of the International Space Station Program Office at the Johnson Space Center. Pamela Underwood, deputy division manager for the Federal Aviation Administration also participated by phone, and William Gerstenmaier, NASA associate administrator for the Human Exploration and Operations Directorate, joined in via video. SpaceX CRS-7 lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 10:21 a.m. EDT. After liftoff, an anomaly occurred.
