Completed EDSN Flight Units

The 8 EDSN flight units. The outer panels contain the black solar cells that are used to provide power to the satellite and charge the batteries. The UHF antennas (in yellow) are used to provide inter-satellite communications and as beacons to ground stations to locate the satellites during the mission operations. Each satellite has a unique software ID so they can be differentiated during mission operations. The amateur radio community can also listen to the satellites as they pass overhead using a UHF radio receiver.
