The Cassini mission is a joint endeavor between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Italian Space Agency – Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI). Cassini is studying Saturn and its moons and provides information on Saturn’s gravitational and magnetic fields, determining its ring mass, and sampling the atmosphere and ionosphere. The Huygens probe was also aboard Cassini and released in 2004 and landed on Saturn’s moon Titan, providing us with more information on Titan’s composition.

The Deep Space Network provides communication and tracking services to Cassini through its 34 and 70 meter antennas.
