Atlas V first stage for GOES-R

The United Launch Alliance Atlas V first stage has been lifted to the vertical position inside the Vertical Integration Facility at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 41. The Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite, GOES-R, is scheduled to launch atop the Atlas V rocket on November 19. GOES-R will be the first satellite in a series of next-generation NOAA weather Satellites.
