Patrick Spain: Campfire Tales with Pat Spain

Pat Spain is a biologist who takes himself to some of the most remote places on the planet and immerses himself among the people and cultures. In search of undiscovered species his quest is to find the truth between fact and fiction.

Abstract:
Have you ever wondered what it takes to be initiated into a tribe in the remote Brazilian Amazon? How about what the Baka pygmies in Cameroon wear when the nature-documentary cameras aren’t rolling? What is the typical film-crew diet in Mongolia’s Gobi Dessert? Pat Spain will give you a first-hand account of what it’s like to truly live like a native in some of the wildest places on Earth. He’ll share a behind the scenes look at making a wildlife-adventure TV series for the National Geographic Channel.
