
Crater Gweni-Fada on Chad’s Ennedi Plateau
iss074e0320315 (Feb. 21, 2026) --- Crater Gweni-Fada (center) is an eroded meteorite impact structure located on Chad's Ennedi Plateau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is estimated to be less than 345 million years old. The International Space Station was orbiting 260 miles above the African nation when this photograph was taken.
