Building a Coral Farm

An OCEANOS intern ties a loose piece of staghorn coral to a square frame in the water off of Punta Soldado, Culebra (Puerto Rico) during the fieldwork section of the internship. These frames act as a coral 'farm' and will be secured on the ocean floor until the coral grows enough to be replanted into vulnerable and damaged reefs around Culebra.
